Acrisure Arena Earns Certified Autism Center Designation to Enhance Fan Experience

Acrisure Arena has officially earned the Certified Autism Center (CAC) designation, a significant step toward making the venue more inclusive for fans with autism and sensory sensitivities. This achievement responds to the challenges that the loud noises, bright lights, and large crowds of sporting events and concerts can present for some individuals.

Mackenzie Juday, Director of Guest Experience at Acrisure Arena, has led the initiative to provide resources aimed at enhancing the experience for guests with sensory needs. The arena now offers sensory kits at the guest services desk, complete with noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, and fidget toys. These items are designed to help both sensory-seeking and sensory-sensitive individuals better enjoy their time at the arena.

In addition, the venue has introduced resources to assist nonverbal guests or those at risk of wandering, including wristbands and feeling flashcards to aid communication. Juday emphasized the arena's commitment to ensuring every guest feels welcome and supported during events, regardless of their sensory experience. This new designation demonstrates Acrisure Arena's dedication to providing a more inclusive environment for all fans.
