Amber Alert Issued for Two Young Girls After Mother’s Alleged Murder
The California Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert across central and Southern California following the tragic death of a woman in Hanford, south of Fresno. Johnathan Maldonado is suspected of killing the mother of his two young daughters, 3 year old Arya and 2 year old Alana. It is believed that Maldonado took the children and may have fled to Mexico.
Maldonado, who is considered armed and dangerous, was last seen driving a 2020 gray Hyundai Elantra. Authorities are urgently searching for the missing girls, who are described as having brown hair and brown eyes. The Amber Alert has sparked a widespread effort to locate the children and bring them home safely.
Anyone who may have information on their whereabouts or the suspect’s location is strongly encouraged to contact 9-1-1.
