Coachella Valley Firebirds Gear Up to Host the 2025 AHL Skills Competition and All-Star Classic

The Coachella Valley Firebirds are about to make history, as the 2025 AHL Skills Competition and All-Star Classic takes place at Acrisure Arena this weekend. The team, now in its third year, is already hosting the prestigious All-Star Game, a testament to their success on the ice, the support of the community, and the world-class venue in which they play.

The process of securing the All-Star Game was a long one, beginning over two years ago when the Firebirds and their partners, Oakview Group, put in their bid. John Page, Senior Vice President of Oakview Group and the Firebirds, shared how critical teamwork and support were in making this happen. "It takes a ton of people to push in the same direction," Page said. "Having the support of our parent companies, the Seattle Kraken and Oakview Group, really gave us the firepower behind it."
