Palm Springs Planning Commission Approves Serena Park Housing Project, Next Stop: City Council

The Serena Park housing project has taken a significant step forward after receiving unanimous approval from the Palm Springs Planning Commission. The decision allows developers to move forward with selling parts of the 386-unit project to individual builders, ensuring a phased construction process.

While some residents voiced concerns about previous verbal agreements regarding setbacks, developers reassured them that existing commitments would be honored. The project, which is being built on a former golf course, promises to bring new housing to the area, though the community remains attentive to the promises made by the developers.

With the Planning Commission's approval secured, the Serena Park project will now proceed to the Palm Springs City Council for final approval. If all goes smoothly, this project will mark a significant development in the area, contributing to the city’s growth while honoring agreements made with local residents. The next steps will be closely watched as the housing project moves forward.
