Bear Creek Trail Clean-Up Crisis: Dog Owners Urged to Pick Up After Pets
The Bear Creek Trail saga continues, as local resident Phillip shares his frustration with the ongoing issue of dog waste being left behind. Despite clear signage in the popular Bump and Grind area, which reminds dog owners there is "no poop fairy," Phillip has been diligently cleaning up multiple piles of dog waste every day. On one recent morning, he picked up eight piles, passing six trash cans and four free bag dispensers along the way.
But even with these resources, irresponsible dog owners continue to leave waste behind, as evidenced by the latest picture shared by Phillip. The mess was found at the front of a trash can just before the area where dogs are supposedly not allowed.
“Please, if you take your dog on that trail, pick up after them,” Phillip urges. The community is calling for pet owners to take responsibility and respect the shared public space. With all the necessary tools in place, it’s time for the problem to be addressed, and for everyone to help keep Bear Creek Trail clean and enjoyable for all.
