The rankings, published by GolfPass—a membership program founded by renowned golfer Rory McIlroy—underscore the county's prominence on the national golf scene.

The four standout courses include:

• Journey at Pechanga in Temecula (No. 2)

• Classic Club in Palm Desert (No. 3)
