Vintage Cars to Roll Into Indian Wells for the Dr. George Charity Car Show
This Saturday, February 8th, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden will be transformed into a car lover's paradise as over 1,000 vintage cars take center stage at the Annual Dr. George Charity Car Show. The event, which is expected to attract around 10,000 spectators, will feature an exciting day packed with live music, food trucks, and fun activities for the whole family.
From pedal car races for the little ones to a variety of vendors and trophy awards for car enthusiasts, there’s something for everyone. Guests can explore classic cars, enjoy the lively atmosphere, and even take part in some unique family-friendly competitions.
The event is much more than just a car show, though. It serves a noble cause. The Dr. George Charity Car Show was founded in memory of Dr. Sebastian George, who passed away 25 years ago. The show benefits the Desert Cancer Foundation, providing critical funds to support cancer patients in the Coachella Valley.
Over the past 22 years, the event has raised more than $1.35 million for the foundation. Last year alone, a generous donation of $100,000 was raised, all of which directly supports cancer treatment and care through the foundation. Ross McMillan, who runs the event, emphasized the importance of the show’s mission, explaining that all funds go toward cancer care in the Valley, multiplying the impact of each dollar donated.
Whether you’re a car enthusiast, a family looking for fun, or someone who wants to support a great cause, the Dr. George Charity Car Show is a must-visit event this Saturday. It’s a day of excitement, entertainment, and community spirit—all for a great cause.
The event runs from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. For more information, visit the NBC Palm Springs website.
