Rollin', Rollin', Rollin' On the (Atmospheric) River!

After a stream of deep moisture develops over Central California on Tuesday, a deepening low will then guide it over SoCal beginning Wednesday.

Aside from our mountains, there is really no discernable lifting mechanism to enhance the rain amounts. But with such copious moisture, this system doesn't need it.

There will be precipitation over Southern California between Wednesday and Friday. As of this morning, the two best shots of seeing rain over the Coachella Valley will be late on Wednesday, with higher accumulations expected between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. This may alter... stay tuned!
