Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Closed for Safety, Will Extend Presidents' Day Hours
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway temporarily closed this afternoon due to safety concerns. As of 3:00 p.m. today, the tramway has closed its operations because of high winds, which may affect the safety of riders. Tram officials say they expect to operate as usual tomorrow, but we will continue to assess the weather and notify the public if a closure extension is necessary tomorrow. Tramway officials are urging visitors to check for updates before making plans.
However, the tramway will return to normal operations for Presidents' Day. Starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, the tramway will offer an extended schedule, with trams departing every 30 minutes for 12 hours. The last tram down will leave at 9:30 p.m.
In addition to the extended operating hours, special discounts will be available after 4 p.m. A "Twilight Ticket" will be offered for just $30, with further discounts for children aged 3-10, making it a great opportunity for families to experience the tramway.
For visitors planning to take the tram on Presidents' Day, it’s important to stay informed about any safety-related changes, especially in light of today’s temporary closure. For more information and updates, check out the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway’s official website at pstramway.com.
