Cathedral City Police Seek Help in Fatal Hit-and-Run

On January 25th, Ruben Mijarez, a 52-year-old Cathedral City resident, was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road near the Ramon Road Bridge. Despite being conscious when found, Mijarez's injuries were severe, and he passed away in the hospital on Monday. Several bystanders stopped at the scene, but no witnesses could be identified, and the suspect vehicle fled the scene. The Cathedral City Police Department is now requesting assistance from the public to solve the fatal hit-and-run. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
