Fatal Collision on Fred Waring Drive: BMW Veers into Oncoming Traffic, Passenger Dies

This morning before 6 a.m., Indio Police responded to a tragic traffic collision on Fred Warning Drive at Avenue 44. A BMW sedan veered into oncoming traffic, resulting in a head-on crash with a Nissan Sentra. The 45-year-old female passenger in the BMW suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male BMW driver, 45, sustained minor injuries, while the 37-year-old female Nissan driver is in critical condition. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash and urge anyone with information to contact the Indio Police Department. We will provide information at 5 and 6 as it becomes available.
