Louisiana No Longer Promoting Mass Vaccinations

Louisiana's surgeon general says the state will no longer promote mass vaccination.

In a memo to workers at the louisiana department of health, doctor Ralph Abraham said vaccinations will no longer be promoted at health fairs or through media campaigns.

The directive came the same day anti-vaccine advocate robert f. Kennedy junior was sworn-in as secretary of the u-s department of health and human services.

Louisiana's parish health units will continue to stock and provide shots for residents.

New orleans has its own independent health department.

Its director says it will continue to promote vaccinations at large events.
