Desert X Returns to Coachella Valley March 8 with Stunning Outdoor Art
Art lovers, mark your calendars! Desert X 2025 is returning to the Coachella Valley from March 8 to May 11, promising another breathtaking fusion of art and nature.
The renowned outdoor art exhibition showcases thought-provoking, large-scale installations set against the stunning desert landscape. Executive Director Jenny Gill explains what makes Desert X unique:
"We invite artists to experiment outside of traditional museum spaces and create site-specific works that interact with the landscape."
Art Beyond the Gallery Walls
For artist Alison Saar, the desert setting offers a cathartic, introspective experience unlike any museum:
"I love the idea that you can pull over and experience something that enriches you spiritually, a moment to reflect on life."
One of the featured installations, The Living Pyramid by Agnes Denes, is already on display at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, continuing the tradition of highlighting female artists.
