Plaza Theatre Renovation Receives $2 Million Boost from Brad Prescott Foundation

The ongoing renovation of the historic Plaza Theatre in Palm Springs received a significant financial boost with a $1 million donation from Brad Prescott, a real estate entrepreneur, through his Brad Prescott Foundation.

In addition to Prescott’s contribution, the theater will benefit from an additional $1 million donation through a matching program, pushing the total renovation funds raised to $18 million. This milestone represents approximately two-thirds of the total funding goal needed to complete the theater’s extensive restoration.

Preserving a Local Landmark

The Plaza Theatre, a cherished landmark in Palm Springs, has long been a hub for performing arts and community events. The renovation aims to restore the venue to its former glory while ensuring it meets modern accessibility and safety standards.

Community Support Growing

Prescott’s donation underscores community support for the project, which has attracted contributions from both private donors and public funding sources.

"Prescott’s generosity brings us closer to our goal of revitalizing a piece of Palm Springs history," a theater representative said.

What’s Next?

With $18 million secured, the Plaza Theatre still needs an additional $9 million to fully fund construction and renovation efforts.
