Food Now Honors Rosie Hargand for 15 Years of Service to Families in Need
In Desert Hot Springs, Food Now celebrated an incredible milestone this week by honoring Rosie Hargand, who is turning 95 years old. For 15 years, Rosie has been a dedicated volunteer at the food bank, distributing food to families in need in the local community. Her selfless contributions have made a lasting impact on many, as Food Now serves over 350 families each week. The food bank sees a 10% increase in demand annually, highlighting the ongoing need for community support.
Event organizers and community members gathered to celebrate Rosie’s birthday and to express gratitude for her years of service. Rosie’s enduring commitment to helping others has made her a beloved figure in the community, and she was honored with a heartfelt celebration, including a cake to mark the occasion.
Food Now is also hosting a fundraiser at the Air Museum next month to support their vital work. With the growing demand for food assistance, this event will help ensure they can continue meeting the needs of local families.
A big congratulations to Rosie Hargand for her 95th birthday and for making a difference in the lives of so many. Her volunteer work is a testament to the power of giving back, and she continues to inspire others in the community to do the same.
If you want to get involved, Food Now is hosting a fundraiser on March 28th at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
