Coachella Teacher Suspected of Lewd Acts With Student Out On Bail After Arrest

A Coachella Teacher Is Out On Bail Today After Being Arrested On Accusations Of Sexually Assaulting A Student.

Investigators With The Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Thermal Station Say Their Investigation Into 42-year-old Mario Valenzuela Started Last December.

It Came After The Student Allegedly Told School Officials They Were Sexually Assaulted.

Authorities did not disclose which School Valenzuela Was A Teacher At.

He Was Taken Into Custody Last Friday, February 14th, And Was Booked Into The John Benoit Detention Center On Suspicion Of Lewd Acts With A Minor; However, Jail Records Indicate He Was Released On $10,000 Bail The Same Day.

His First Court Appearance Is Scheduled For March 20Th Where He Is Expected To Be Formally Charged.
