A Coachella Valley Unified School District Employee Is Out On Bail Today After Being Arrested On Accusations Of Sexually Assaulting A Student.

Investigators With The Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Thermal Station Say Their Investigation Into 42-year-old Mario Manuel Valenzuela Started Last December.

It Came After A Student Told School Officials They Were Sexually Assaulted.

According To Coachella Valley High School's Website And Staff Directory Information Made Public In 2024, Mario Valenzuela Is Listed As An Employee At The School In The Special Education Department

We've Reached Out To Coachella Valley Unified School District For Comment On The Situation, They Have Yet To Respond To Us.

He Was Taken Into Custody Last Friday And Was Booked Into The John Benoit Detention Center On Suspicion Of Lewd Acts With A Minor.

But, Jail Records Indicate He Was Released On $10,000 Bail The Same Day.

His Next Court Date Is Scheduled For March 20th Where He Is Expected To Be Formally Charged On The Accusations.
