Thalia Hayden Interviews Tod Macofsky on Desert Entertainment

In a special edition of Desert Entertainment, Thalia Hayden takes on the interviewer role to spotlight the show’s usual host, Tod Macofsky. Tod’s journey began in Hollywood, where his passion for performing was sparked during an eighth-grade school play. His career has taken him from New York stages to cruise ships, ultimately bringing him to Palm Springs in 2021.

Since moving to the Coachella Valley, Tod has become a staple at PS Underground, a unique supper club offering themed dinner shows. “I perform different shows every week,” Tod shares, noting recent performances like O Canada and a Frank Sinatra tribute for Modernism Week. Guests enjoy a four-course meal with live performances woven between courses, creating a truly immersive experience.

Tod’s role on Desert Entertainment allows him to combine his love for performing with his commitment to promoting the local entertainment scene. “I just want to get the word out that there's so much entertainment here,” he says.
