Palm Desert’s Red Barn Reopens with a Chic New Look After 2020 Fire

The infamous Red Barn in Palm Desert, a beloved local bar that was forced to close after a fire in 2020, is finally set to reopen with a stunning new design. The bar, now under new ownership, has undergone a complete remodel, transforming from its previous dive bar vibe into a chic and sophisticated venue. The revamped Red Barn will offer locals an elevated experience with signature cocktails, live music, and a stylish atmosphere.

The new owners have infused the space with elements of rock and roll, jazz, and even the glamorous Rat Pack era, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and modern. “I’ve tried to make sure every surface has been touched,” said the owner. “We have lamps from Liberace's house, art from Gene Autry’s collection, and we've pulled in pieces of the valley’s history to give the bar a unique, local flavor.”

Inside, patrons will discover several hidden gems, including a cozy library for reading books or playing games, a jungle-themed outdoor lounge, and even a VIP rock star area. For couples, there’s a special lover’s booth perfect for romantic date nights. Additionally, a new dance floor has been added, where guests can enjoy live music in a vibrant and energetic setting.

The Red Barn’s grand reopening is set for tomorrow, with doors opening at 4 p.m. Whether you’re looking to sip a cocktail, enjoy some music, or explore the eclectic design, the new Red Barn promises to be a must-visit spot in Palm Desert.
