PSUSD Superintendent Dr. Tony Signoret to Retire After 35 Years in Education
In a significant announcement tonight, Dr. Tony Signoret, the Superintendent of Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD), revealed that he will retire at the end of this school year, with his retirement effective June 30th, 2025. Dr. Signoret has spent an impressive 35 years in the field of education, starting his journey with PSUSD in 1992. Initially, he worked as a bilingual teacher at Agua Caliente Elementary before moving up to various leadership positions.
Over the years, Dr. Signoret took on roles such as district assistant principal and principal at both elementary and middle school levels. His dedication and leadership ultimately led to his appointment as the Director of Certified Human Resources. His contributions have greatly shaped the district's educational landscape.
The Board of Education expressed gratitude for his years of service and commitment to PSUSD. They also announced that the search for his successor will begin immediately, with the goal of appointing a new superintendent before the end of the current school year. The Board is confident that a thorough search will ensure a smooth transition as they continue to focus on the future of the district and its students.
