Sunnylands Wildflowers in Bloom, Fun Events Ahead, and a Look at the Weekend Weather Forecast

Happy Thursday, everyone! We’re almost through the week, just one more day to go before the weekend.

Now, speaking of all the fun things happening, it’s almost time to change the clocks! Daylight saving time is only 10 days away, which means those beautiful sunsets will come a little later. We’re also just 18 days from St. Patrick's Day and 52 days from Easter—plenty of fun things on the horizon!

As for today, we’re seeing a high of 84 degrees, which is 9 degrees above average for this time of year. It's definitely a welcome change after the near triple-digit temperatures we saw yesterday—talk about a concern! Overnight, temperatures will dip into the 50s for the low desert, with 59 degrees up in Yucca Valley and 75 for Indio.

Looking ahead to the weekend, we’re expecting some gusty winds through the wind corridor as moisture moves in. Friday night into Saturday, there’s a light chance of rain, with the heavier system hitting on Sunday, bringing more moisture to the coast and mountain areas. Here’s a look at your seven-day forecast: we’ll stay in the 80s for Friday and Saturday before dropping into the 70s and below average by Sunday.

So, get ready for some weather changes as we head into the weekend! Stay tuned for more updates, and let me know if you’re heading out to a fun event tonight—whether it’s a party or a relaxing sunset!
