Coachella Valley Rescue Mission Receives $50K Grant to Support Homeless Seniors
The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission (CVRM) has received a $50,000 grant from the H.N. and Francis C. Berger Foundation to provide critical aid to homeless seniors over 55.
With a rising number of unhoused seniors in the Coachella Valley, the grant will help fund emergency shelter, meals, and long-term assistance for this vulnerable population. CVRM aims to expand its outreach and services to ensure more seniors receive the support they need.
In addition to the grant, CVRM has launched a $250,000 fundraising effort through its No Show Gala, an initiative allowing donors to contribute without attending a formal event. The funds raised will further aid housing programs, health resources, and job placement efforts for seniors in need.
"This grant allows us to continue our mission of providing care and dignity to the most vulnerable in our community," said CVRM leadership.
With community support and continued funding, CVRM hopes to make a lasting impact on the lives of homeless seniors across the Coachella Valley.
