Shocking Animal Cruelty at Chaparral Country Club Sparks Outrage

A shocking act of animal cruelty at Chaparral Country Club in Palm Desert has sparked outrage after security cameras captured a man running over a goose with a golf cart, beating it with a golf club, and disposing of it in a dumpster. The goose was still alive when authorities arrived, leading animal services to euthanize it.

Despite the disturbing nature of the incident, the man responsible has not been publicly identified or arrested. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s office are reportedly in possession of the security footage, but it remains unclear whether charges will be filed.

During The Roggin Report, Fred Roggin expressed deep concern over the incident, stating, “For some unexplained, borderline psychotic reason, this man decided to kill a harmless animal in a brutal manner.” Guests Doug and Jamie Baker joined the discussion, with Jamie calling for immediate action, saying, “I want to go make a citizen’s arrest. This is terrible.” Doug added that animal cruelty is often linked to violent tendencies toward humans, making this case even more alarming.

Under California law, animal abuse can be charged as either a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the severity. Advocates are urging authorities to treat this as a felony offense, ensuring the perpetrator is held accountable.

While the country club can hold a disciplinary hearing, it is unclear whether they can expel the individual or force him to sell his property if he is a resident. The greater question remains—should someone capable of such cruelty be allowed to remain in the community?

As the investigation unfolds, Palm Desert residents and animal rights supporters are demanding justice for the defenseless goose.
