Why Daylight Saving Time Is Starting Again In California
Daylight saving starts this Sunday March 9th. We once again change our clocks and spring forward...giving us more day light hours.
But many are still asking why we continue to change our clocks? If you vaguely remember something about a bill to stop the time change and make it permanent, you are correct. In 2022 the U.S. Senate passed The Sunshine Protection Act that would make daylight saving time the new permanent time starting in November of 2023. And in California we voted to remove daylight saving in 2020. So what happened? California Assemblyman Greg Wallis joins NBC Palm Springs Anchor Mary Strong to discuss.
