Celebrity Course: Hole 1

Signature Hole is back at Indian Wells Golf Resort, and this time, we’re kicking things off at hole 1 on the Celebrity Course. Tim O’Brien is sidelined with an injury, but that doesn’t stop director of golf Joe Williams from taking the solo challenge on this 364-yard par 4.

With clear skies and perfect conditions, Joe walks through his strategy—keeping it simple and hitting one down the middle to set up a scoring opportunity. Choosing driver off the tee, he lands a great shot in the fairway, avoiding any hazards and giving himself a solid look at the green.

From 110 yards out, Joe selects a gap wedge, aiming to stay below the hole on this two-tiered green for an easier putt. The approach lands well, rolling nicely onto the lower level. With steady pace, he nails the putt, executing the hole just as planned.

Tim watches from the sidelines but promises to be back in action next month. Until then, this Signature Hole showcases why the Celebrity Course at Indian Wells is a favorite among golfers in the Coachella Valley.
