Celebrity Course: Hole 3

Signature Hole is back at Indian Wells Golf Resort, and this time, Brian Flath and Joe Williams take on hole 3 of the Celebrity Course.

At just under 400 yards from the back tees and 360 yards from today’s play, this par 4 demands precision rather than power. Joe explains that a well-placed tee shot is key—hitting too far could leave a tricky downhill lie, and there’s a bunker 260 yards out that’s best avoided. Instead, the goal is to land in the fairway with 100-120 yards left for an ideal wedge approach.

After solid drives, both players set up for the real challenge—the undulating green. Joe executes a perfect shot that uses the backstop and tracks beautifully toward the hole. On the greens, the challenge continues, as both putts stay surprisingly straight instead of breaking. Two solid fours wrap up the hole, proving that strategy is key on this course.
