Local Business Owner Supports Hospitalized Children

Who doesn’t need a hug these days? That’s exactly what Cuddle Paws is here to offer. Founded by Elke Behrens, Cuddle Paws is a heartwarming business providing soft plush animal body pillows designed to bring comfort to children and adults. But beyond cuddles, this company has a mission—to support sick children in hospitals across the country.

Elke’s vision for Cuddle Paws was born from her dream of running a children’s boutique, with the goal of making kids smile.

“We want to bring smiles and comfort to children who are ill and critically injured, but also to all children and adults. And even pets, maybe!” she shared.

The plush toys have already made a significant impact, with many parents saying their children sleep with them every night, helping ease fears of the dark.

This March, Cuddle Paws is giving back in a big way. Through the Make March Matter campaign, a portion of the company’s sales will be donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Among the best-selling plushies are penguins, unicorns, bears, and bunnies—each designed to provide comfort. A special Children’s Hospital Los Angeles edition penguin, featuring the hospital’s butterfly logo, is now available in a small size on Amazon. While the plush animals don’t come pre-named, Elki believes part of the fun is allowing kids to create their own special names for their new companions.

For those looking to purchase a Cuddle Paws plush and support a great cause, the products are available on Amazon under the Cuddle Paws store. More information can be found on Instagram (@CuddlePawsCo), cuddlepaws.co, or at makemarchmatter.org.

“Go get a Cuddle Paw and help make a difference!” Behrens encourages.
