South Palm Canyon Bridge Construction Begins Monday in Palm Springs

Construction on the South Palm Canyon Bridge in Palm Springs is set to begin Monday. The project aims to replace the existing bridge with a newly designed 98-foot structure, incorporating wider sidewalks, dedicated bike lanes, and public art installations.

Work will be conducted in two phases, with the western lanes scheduled for demolition and rebuilding first. City officials say the improvements will enhance pedestrian and cyclist access while modernizing the bridge’s infrastructure.

Drivers should anticipate lane closures and potential traffic delays in the area. The project is expected to be completed sometime next year.
