California’s First Pride Celebrates in Cathedral City
Cathedral City continued California's first Pride celebration of the year with an exciting mix of events. Saturday began with an inaugural bingo and brunch, where community members gathered for a fun and inclusive start to the festivities. The next highlight of the day was a Pride pool party at the CCBC Resort, where attendees celebrated under the sun and embraced the vibrant atmosphere. As the evening rolled in, the festivities continued with Nest Fest at The Roost, featuring live performances and a lively crowd. Two special guests, Thelma Houston and David Hernandez, joined the celebration, bringing even more star power to the event. The crowd cheered as the iconic singers took the stage, making the celebration even more unforgettable. The energy was high as the community showed its pride and unity in support of the LGBTQ+ movement. But the fun didn’t end there. This weekend the Parade of Beds and Bed Races will add even more excitement. Spectators can look forward to this quirky and unique parade that’s sure to entertain all. NBC Palm Springs will provide full coverage of tomorrow's event, with updates available on all digital platforms. So, stay tuned for more Pride festivities coming your way. The pride celebrations have just begun, and there’s still plenty of fun to be had in Cathedral City.
