Know Before You Go: Work Continues On The Caltrans SR 111 Project

In this week's traffic update for the Coachella Valley, major roadwork continues in Palm Springs with the SR-111 roadway project, spanning an eight-mile stretch from N. Palm Canyon to E. Palm Canyon. Night work will be in effect, particularly along Gene Autry and Vista Chino. Stay informed by signing up for alerts at sr111roadwayproject.com.

Additionally, the South Palm Canyon bridge project is underway. Traffic will shift, with Balardo Road serving as the alternate route via Sunny Dunes or Mesquite.

Meanwhile, Indian Wells is experiencing heavy congestion due to the ongoing BNP Paribas Open, with traffic quadrupling in the area. Travelers on Washington should stick to the median lane, while those on SR-111 eastbound should stay in the outside lane to avoid delays.

As always, stay alert, avoid distractions, and drive safely. See you next week for another traffic update!
