Eisenhower Health Hosts Cancer Prevention Fair to Promote Early Detection
Early detection saves lives, and Eisenhower Health is making sure the community has access to vital cancer screenings and prevention resources. At the Annenberg Health Sciences Building, experts from the Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center hosted a Cancer Prevention and Screening Health Fair, offering education on detecting and reducing the risk of various cancers.
Lee Rice, Public Information Officer for Eisenhower Health, emphasized the importance of screenings and awareness, saying, “All of our departments work well together to support the patients here in the Valley.” The event featured specialists covering colon, breast, and skin cancer, providing free information that attendees could share with their loved ones.
Community members were encouraged to take proactive steps, with medical professionals reminding them that even a half-hour visit could lead to life-saving early detection. The event underscored the power of knowledge and the importance of making screenings a priority.
