Server Of The Week

Shorebird’s Nelson Surprised With $1,000 Tip as Server of the Week

NBC Palm Springs and Honda and Toyota of the Desert are continuing to recognize hardworking members of the community with the Server of the Week award, and this time, the honor went to Nelson, a dedicated server and bartender at Shorebird on El Paseo in Palm Desert.

Anthony Caridi from Honda and Toyota of the Desert surprised Nelson at work, presenting him with a $1,000 tip in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication. Stunned by the moment, Nelson expressed his deep appreciation, saying, “No way. No way. Thank you. Oh, my God.”

When asked about Shorebird’s standout menu items, Nelson was quick to recommend the scratch margaritas, made with freshly prepared juices, along with the wood-fired rotisserie chicken served with asparagus risotto. He also highlighted the pork chop, a popular dinner choice that often sells out fast.

Nelson’s colleagues at Shorebird praised his work ethic and dedication, emphasizing that he is one of their best team members. “He’s done an amazing job, a hard worker. We couldn’t be more happy to have him experience this,” one team member shared.

The Server of the Week award continues to showcase the hardworking individuals who bring great service to the Coachella Valley. For those looking for a top-notch dining experience, Shorebird in Palm Desert is a must-visit destination for great food and even greater service.
