Mirra Andreeva and Jack Draper Crowned Champions at BNP Paribas Open

The BNP Paribas Open came to an exciting conclusion with Mirra Andreeva and Jack Draper securing the prestigious titles at Indian Wells.

On the women’s side, 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva continued her remarkable run, claiming her second consecutive WTA 1000 title with a comeback win over Aryna Sabalenka. The rising star, now on a 12-match winning streak, delivered an impressive performance, hitting 29 winners and securing four breaks in a match that lasted just over two hours. Andreeva now joins tennis legends Steffi Graf and Serena Williams as one of the few women to defeat both the world No. 1 and No. 2 at the same event. Her victory also makes her the third-youngest champion in Indian Wells history and the first teenager to break into the top 10 since 2007.

On the men’s side, Jack Draper made history, becoming only the second British man to win at Indian Wells. The 23-year-old delivered a commanding performance against Denmark’s Holger Rune, taking the opening set 6-2 before sealing the match in just over an hour. The victory marks Draper’s first Masters 1000 title and propels him to a career-high world ranking of No. 7.

Both champions expressed gratitude for their hard work and dedication, with Andreeva reflecting on her resilience and Draper celebrating his breakthrough moment on the big stage.
