Motorist Killed When BMW Collides with Motorhome in Desert Hot Springs

DESERT HOT SPRINGS (CNS) – A fatal collision occurred Wednesday afternoon when a white BMW crashed into a motorhome in Desert Hot Springs, resulting in the death of the driver.

The accident took place around 4:15 p.m. on North Indian Canyon Drive, just north of 14th Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Paramedics responded quickly and transported the motorist, a 74-year-old man from Bend, Oregon, to Desert Regional Medical Center. Sadly, he later passed away due to his injuries. He was the sole occupant of the BMW at the time of the crash.

A CHP statement confirmed that the driver was wearing his seatbelt and that alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the accident.

Authorities are seeking information from any witnesses and urge individuals with details about the crash to contact CHP at 760-772-5300.
