Exploring Art in Unexpected Places: Desert X at Burrtec Landfill

The Desert X art exhibition continues to surprise and inspire by placing thought-provoking installations in unexpected locations. At the Burrtec landfill in Coachella, artist Armando Lerma presents a piece reflecting the lives and traditions of the Mexican farmworker community. His work is done on a water tower in a Coachella landfill, and he says tells a story of migration and transitory existence. Desert X encourages visitors to explore areas they might not usually visit, offering a fresh perspective on both art and environment.
