Highway 111 Nighttime Rehab Project Underway in Palm Springs

Drivers along Highway 111 in Palm Springs should prepare for overnight construction as a road rehabilitation project gets underway. The work, which spans from Vistachino to Avenida Caballeros, is part of an infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving road surfaces and public transit access.

Construction is scheduled Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., with no work planned on weekends, giving drivers a break from detours and closures during peak leisure travel times.

The nighttime paving portion of the project is expected to be completed within the next few weeks. Once that phase wraps up, crews will begin constructing new bus pads at 11 Sunline bus stop locations within the project area, enhancing safety and accessibility for transit users.

Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully in work zones and follow posted signage.
