June Carter Cash and Kenny Chesney Among 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees
The Country Music Hall of Fame announced its 2025 inductees today, honoring two beloved figures in the world of country music—June Carter Cash and Kenny Chesney.
The announcement was made at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, with Hall of Fame member Vince Gill hosting the special event.
June Carter Cash will be inducted in the Veterans Era Artist category. Known for her powerful voice and influential contributions to country music, June performed with her mother Maybelle Carter and her sisters as part of The Carter Family, and later as a solo artist and partner to her husband, the legendary Johnny Cash.
In a statement, members of the Cash family expressed pride and gratitude, saying June’s “place in country music is undeniable.” Her decades-long career and dedication to the genre made a lasting impact, and the family said they were "grateful and proud" she would be honored in the Hall of Fame.
Kenny Chesney will be inducted in the Modern Era Artist category. With more than 30 No. 1 hits and a devoted fanbase, Chesney has become one of country music’s most consistent and influential performers, known for his high-energy concerts and laid-back coastal country style.
The formal induction ceremony will take place later this year.
