La Quinta Car Theft Suspect Arrested in Indio, Found with Stolen Property

A man on probation has been arrested in connection with a car theft and burglary in La Quinta.

Authorities with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department say 44-year-old Chris Clayton Jackson of Indio allegedly stole a GMC Denali and other belongings from a home in La Quinta around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Later that day, investigators located the vehicle near the casinos in Indio. Inside, they reportedly found additional property taken from the same neighborhood.

Jackson was found shortly afterward on Avenue 50. Deputies also searched his residence and say they recovered more items belonging to the La Quinta victim.
