Olivia Sandusky Wins Golden Mike Award for “Restoring the Salton Sea”

Right after the big screening of her special report “Restoring the Salton Sea” at the AM-Docs Film Festival in Palm Springs, our very own Olivia Sandusky made her way to the RTNA Golden Mike Awards, where she received a well-deserved honor. Olivia won a prestigious Golden Mike for her hard work on the “Restoring the Salton Sea” piece that was showcased earlier that afternoon.

The Radio and Television News Association (RTNA) promotes excellence in broadcast journalism, and Olivia's in-depth report on the environmental challenges facing the Salton Sea earned her the Golden Mike in the Best TV Specialty Program One division. The award highlights Olivia's commitment to high-quality, impactful journalism.

Olivia accepted her award — a moment of pride for both her and the NBC Palm Springs team. Congratulations, Olivia! Your dedication and hard work have truly paid off.
