Caught on Camera: Tennessee Tow Truck Driver Run Over During Repossession Attempt

A shocking incident in Memphis, Tennessee, was caught on camera as a tow truck driver was run over by a vehicle during an attempted repossession. The confrontation, which unfolded last week at University Gardens Manor Apartments, has led to two arrests.

According to CNN News Source, the tow truck driver was attempting to repossess a red Ford Focus when a man suddenly jumped into the driver’s seat and reversed—running over the tow truck driver’s head. The disturbing video shows the victim in pain while a woman standing nearby appears to coach the driver on how to flee the scene.

Despite his injuries, the victim was able to walk away and later shared images from his hospital bed, revealing the extent of the trauma. Memphis police say the victim suffered head abrasions, arm pain, and needed to be shaken to stay conscious.

Neighbors who witnessed the incident were stunned. One said, “It’s hard to watch… I feel sorry for him, but I don’t think your job is that important, bro.”

Police say the vehicle had been sold to the woman in the video, who had allegedly stopped making payments. She told officers she had agreed to turn over the vehicle and contacted the repo driver to retrieve it.

On Friday, police arrested a 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman in connection with the case. Both now face aggravated assault charges.
