Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation Hosts First-Ever Student Hospitality Day

Today, the Greater Palm Springs Tourism Foundation hosted its inaugural Student Hospitality Day, welcoming 100 high school sophomores from across the Coachella Valley for an immersive, hands-on look at the hospitality and tourism industry.

The event provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the wide array of career pathways available in one of the region’s most vital industries. Through interactive sessions like Hospitality 101, sales and event planning, marketing and social media, and professional journey panels, students were able to connect directly with industry professionals.

Leaders in tourism and hospitality shared valuable advice, real-world experiences, and insight into how students can turn their interests into long-term careers in the Coachella Valley’s thriving visitor economy.

The educational experience was designed to inspire and inform the next generation of hospitality leaders—encouraging local youth to consider impactful roles in shaping the region’s future.
