Signature Hole: Taking On the Scenic 17th at Indian Wells Golf Resort’s Celebrity Course

We’re back for another edition of Signature Hole, set at the stunning Indian Wells Golf Resort.

NBC Palm Springs' Brian Flath teamed up once again with Director of Golf Joe Williams, this time to take on the 17th hole at the resort’s famed Celebrity Course — a challenging par 4 stretching 425 yards from the blue tees.

With breathtaking views of Mount Eisenhower in the backdrop, a waterfall hazard near the green, and tight bunkering, this hole demands focus and skill, even late in the round. Williams emphasized the importance of selecting the right tees to match your game, highlighting how forward tees can make the experience more enjoyable — and leave room for birdies and pars.

Both players delivered solid drives, smart approaches, and navigated the elevated green carefully to walk away with pars — a satisfying accomplishment on such a demanding hole.

Beyond the technical challenges, the 17th also offers a piece of history, with its location near where President Eisenhower once penned his memoirs.

Indian Wells Golf Resort is open to the public, and golfers can book a tee time easily at IndianWellsGolfResort.com or by calling 760-346-GOLF. With course conditions currently in top shape, there’s no better time to come out and experience it for yourself.
