The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in Riverside County continued its downward trend today, dropping for the 13th time in 14 days. According to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service, the price fell by 0.6 cents to $4.59 per gallon, following an 0.8-cent decrease the previous day.

Over the past 14 days, gas prices in the area have dropped a total of 9.5 cents, including a 1.5-cent decrease on Saturday. The recent pattern included a steady decline for seven consecutive days, a brief uptick of 0.1 cents on Tuesday, and a return to falling prices on Wednesday.

This extended dip in gas prices offers some relief for drivers in Riverside County and across the Coachella Valley. Analysts attribute the declines to factors such as falling crude oil prices and adjustments in refining capacity.

Despite this downward trend, local fuel prices remain higher than the national average, reflecting the ongoing impact of state taxes and regulatory requirements in California.
