Celebrate National Iced Tea Day with Free Tea Java Bottles in California

National Iced Tea Day is coming up on June 10, and Californians have an extra reason to celebrate. Tea Java is giving away more than 20,000 free bottles of its iced tea across the state. Certified Tea Sommelier Gabrielle Jammal joined NBC Palm Springs to share how to enjoy iced tea the right way and what makes a quality brew.

Jammal, a certified expert in tea, says her passion for the drink began in childhood. “Tea was a huge part of my family’s traditions,” she said. “I studied for years to earn my certification, and now I focus on helping others understand and appreciate all that tea has to offer—from sourcing and ingredients to brewing and enjoying.”

When choosing an iced tea, Jammal says to look for minimal ingredients. “The first ingredient should be tea, followed by only natural, high-quality additions,” she explained. She recommends Tea Java, an unsweetened bottled tea brewed in small batches in California using tea leaves from Java, Indonesia. “It’s sugar-free, has no preservatives, and tastes just like I made it at home.”

Jammal also offered creative serving ideas, such as mixing Tea Java with sparkling water and adding fruit for a refreshing mocktail. “It’s perfect for summer barbecues or as a non-alcoholic option to bring to outdoor gatherings,” she said.

To mark National Iced Tea Day, Tea Java is teaming up with DashMart on DoorDash to distribute free bottles to California residents. From June 7 through June 13, anyone placing a grocery order on DashMart has a chance to receive a complimentary bottle—while supplies last.

“It’s a great way to celebrate iced tea season and try something delicious and healthy,” said Jammal.
