K-Pop Demon Hunters Tops Netflix as Dune Part 3 Confirmed and Slow Horses Renewed Again

Now the Agua Caliente Entertainment Report, brought to you by Agua Caliente Casinos.

In today’s Hollywood Minute, David Daniel highlights a trio of entertainment headlines lighting up streaming and cinema.

Netflix has a new global hit with K-Pop Demon Hunters, an animated action-fantasy featuring a K-pop girl group that doubles as demon slayers. The film has climbed to the top of Netflix’s global movies list, and the soundtrack is making waves on the Billboard 200, with seven tracks appearing on the Hot 100.

Meanwhile, Apple TV+ is doubling down on its popular spy drama Slow Horses. The Gary Oldman-led series already had a sixth season in development—now the streamer confirms a seventh is coming. In that upcoming chapter, the slow horses will be on the hunt for a mole within the British government. Season five premieres September 24.

And Dune fans, take note: the sequel to Dune: Part Two now has an official title—Dune Part 3. While the film is based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, producers have opted for a consistent naming convention for the blockbuster franchise.

Counting them off in Hollywood, that’s your entertainment update from David Daniel.
