UPDATED: Mobile Home Fire Destroys Five Homes in Palm Springs

A fire broke out around 3 p.m. at the Ramon Mobile Home Park in Palm Springs near Sunrise Way, destroying two mobile homes and damaging three. The blaze sent large plumes of smoke into the air, visible from miles away. Multiple fire engines and emergency crews quickly responded and managed to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes. One person was hospitalized. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
