San Bernardino Family Reunited With Missing Pet Python Found at In-N-Out Drive-Thru
In California, a San Bernardino family is celebrating the safe return of their pet python after an unexpected reunion nearly 50 miles from home.
Six-year-old Kingston Navarro hugged his yellow belly ball python mix, Henny, tightly after being reunited with her. “I hugged her so much that I wouldn’t let go,” he said.
Henny, who weighs about three and a half pounds and measures between three and four feet, slipped out of her cage seven weeks ago after an accident in the family’s yard. Her owner, Vanessa Navarro, said the family feared they’d never see her again. “I was giving up hope,” she admitted.
That changed this week when Navarro saw a post from the Pasadena Humane Society about a python discovered in an In-N-Out drive-thru in Monrovia. The family believes Henny may have hitchhiked under a vehicle, noting she had previously wrapped herself under their own truck.
To prove ownership, the Navarros provided baby pictures of Henny that highlighted her distinctive markings, which they call her “two aliens.” After verification, the Humane Society released her back to the family.
Henny now even has her own Instagram account, “Henny’s a Snake,” where she’s described as an explorer from San Bernardino.
The family expressed gratitude to the In-N-Out employee who safely contained the snake and to Pasadena Humane for their care. For young Kingston, the reunion means everything: “She’s my favorite pet … because she’s a snake! I love snakes.”
