Holiday Tree Lightings and Parades Bring Festive Fun Across the Coachella Valley Tonight

Holiday celebrations are happening all across the Coachella Valley tonight, bringing families together for tree lightings, parades, and festive fun.

In La Quinta, the Civic Center Campus will transform into a winter wonderland with train rides, live performances, snow, and more. Festivities begin at 6 p.m., offering a fun community gathering to kick off the season.

Indio is also hosting its holiday tree lighting ceremony tonight starting at 5 p.m. Located in downtown at Bliss Avenue and Towne Street, the event features food trucks, toy giveaways, and a free kid zone for children to enjoy.

Palm Springs will light its holiday tree at 5:30 p.m. at Frances Stevens Park. The evening includes caroling, crafts for kids, food, and an award ceremony. In addition, the annual Festival of Lights Parade will take place later tonight, bringing even more holiday excitement to downtown.

Up at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, NSYNC’s Lance Bass will be this year’s Celebrity Tree Lighter. The city’s high school Madrigal Choir will open the celebration with holiday songs before the lighting of the 45-foot tree, made up of more than 4,000 LED lights that can be seen throughout the valley. Regular tram admission applies for those attending.

In Coachella, the city’s Enchanted Holiday Parade steps off at 6 p.m. starting on Cesar Chavez Street and concluding at Veterans Memorial Park. A pet adoption event will also take place at the park during the parade. Coachella held its tree lighting earlier this week to kick off the holiday season.
