Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade Returns Saturday
The annual Festival of Lights Parade will take place Saturday, December 6, at 5:45 p.m. along Palm Canyon Drive in downtown Palm Springs.
The holiday tradition features illuminated floats, marching bands, giant balloons, and an appearance by Santa Claus traveling down the parade route.
Road Closures
The city has announced multiple road closures throughout Saturday to accommodate parade preparations and the event itself:
5:30 a.m.:
Amado Road (both sides) at Palm Canyon Drive
Tahquitz Canyon Way (both sides) at Palm Canyon Drive
1 p.m.:
Ramon Road from Belardo Road to Indian Canyon Drive
Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon Road to Camino Parocela
2:45 p.m.:
Palm Canyon Drive from Ramon Road to Vista Chino Road
Ramon Road from Indian Canyon Drive to Calle El Segundo
Residents and visitors are advised to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time on Saturday.
