Rancho Mirage DUI Crash Sends Two to Hospital, One Driver Arrested Near Bob Hope Drive and Highway 111

A late-night car crash in Rancho Mirage sent two people to the hospital and landed another driver in jail.

According to sheriff’s deputies, the collision happened Friday night near the intersection of Bob Hope Drive and Highway 111. Deputies were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle crash.

When they arrived, deputies found two vehicles with visible collision damage.

Officials say the driver and passenger from one of the vehicles were transported to a local hospital. Both were reported to be in stable condition.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken into custody at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or additional details about what led up to the crash. Deputies say the investigation remains ongoing.

Drivers are reminded to slow down, stay alert, and never get behind the wheel impaired.
